Covenant Of Abraham
There was only one set of laws
Ex. 12:49 One law shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you.
- Gentiles were under the same Law.
Lev. 24:22 Ye shall have one manner of law, as well for the stranger, as for one of your own country: for I am Yahweh your Elohim.
Num. 9:14 And if a stranger shall sojourn among you, and will keep the passover unto Yahweh; according to the ordinance of the passover, and according to the manner thereof, so shall he do: ye shall have one ordinance, both for the stranger, and for him that was born in the land.
Num. 15:15 -16 One ordinance shall be both for you of the congregation, and also for the stranger that sojourneth with you, an ordinance for ever in your generations: as ye are, so shall the stranger be before Yahweh. 15:16 One law and one manner shall be for you, and for the stranger that sojourneth with you.
Num. 15:29 Ye shall have one law for him that sinneth through ignorance, both for him that is born among the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them.
- All who joined Israel were bound by the same laws as were the Israelites.
- This has not changed under the new covenant, or more correctly, the renewed covenant, which actually predates the covenant made at the time of Moses .
THE NEW (OR RENEWED) COVENANT BEGINS
Gen. 17:1-14 Gen. 17:1 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, Yahweh appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty El; walk before me, and be thou perfect. 17:2 And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly. 17:3 And Abram fell on his face: and Elohim talked with him, saying, 17:4 As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations. 17:5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee. 17:6 And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee. 17:7 And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be an Elohim unto thee, and to thy seed after thee. 17:8 And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their Elohim. 17:9 And Elohim said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep my covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations. 17:10 This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised. 17:11 And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant betwixt me and you. 17:12 And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every man child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any stranger, which is not of thy seed. 17:13 He that is born in thy house, and he that is bought with thy money, must needs be circumcised: and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant. 17:14 And the uncircumcised man child whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath broken my covenant
Ps. 105:8-10 Ps. 105:8 He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations. 105:9 Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac; 105:10 And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant:
- The covenant of grace and eternal inheritance did not actually begin at the time of Yahshua’s sojourn on earth.
- It began with Abraham.( Gen. 17 Above)
- This covenant was to be with Abraham and his descendants forever, V 7.
- This covenant was reaffirmed with Isaac and with his son Jacob( Israel)
- This was a covenant of eternal inheritance by a promise from Yahweh to Abraham because he believed Yahweh and it was counted to him as righteousness. ( G1342 innocent, holy)
Rom.4:3-9 Rom. 4:3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed Elohim, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. 4:4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. 4:5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the wicked, his faith is counted for righteousness. 4:6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom Elohim imputeth righteousness without works, 4:7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. 4:8 Blessed is the man to whom Yahweh will not impute sin. 4:9 Cometh this blessedness then upon the circumcision only, or upon the uncircumcision also? for we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness.
Gal 3:17-18 Gal. 3:17 And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of Elohim in Messiah, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect. 3:18 For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but Elohim gave it to Abraham by promise.
- The law given at Mt. Saini does not make the promise given to Abraham void.
- So the promise of eternal life was given to Abraham and his descendants forever.
Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob were no exception.
Rom. 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of Elohim;
Rom. 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
Rom. 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of Elohim is eternal life through Yahshua Messiah our Master.
NO Covenant Made With Gentiles.
Eph.2:11-12 Eph. 2:11 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; 2:12 That at that time ye were without Messiah, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without Elohim in the world:
The Good News For The Gentiles
Rom 9:4-5 Rom. 9:4 Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of Elohim, and the promises; 9:5 Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Messiah came, who is over all, Elohim blessed for ever. Amen.
John 10:16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
NEW COVENANT DISPENSATION
- Modern Christianity claims to be under the new covenant while also claiming to be gentiles.
- They shun away from anything that resembles Judaism.
- This includes the Sabbath and the Holy days as commanded by Yahweh in the old testament books of the law which they say is done away, nailed to the stake with Yahshua.
Col. 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his stake;
- The Law of Sin and Death.
- Some even claim that the ten commandments are done away and replaced by two new ones.
- These two commandments were first written in the books of the law (which they say is done away)of the old testament and aren’t new at all.
Deut. 6:5 And thou shalt love Yahweh thy Elohim with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
Lev. 19:18 Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am Yahweh.
NEW COVENANT NOT MADE WITH GENTILES
- Modern churchianity fail to realize that the new covenant was to be made with the house of Israel and the house of Judah.
Jer31:31-34 Jer. 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith Yahweh, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith Yahweh: 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith Yahweh, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their Elohim, and they shall be my people. 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know Yahweh: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith Yahweh: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
Jer. 32:40 And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me.
Heb. 8:6-13 Heb. 8:6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises. 8:7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. 8:8 For finding fault with them, he saith Behold the days come saith Yahweh, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: 8:9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not saith Yahweh. 8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith Yahweh; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them an Elohim, and they shall be to me a people: 8:11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying Know Yahweh: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. 8:12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. 8:13 In that he saith A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.
- Notice who is the mediator of the new covenant.
- It is Yahshua.
Heb.9:15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
- He was a Jew from the tribe of Judah.
- He came to His own people, the Jews. Some did not accept Him but those that did, He gave the power to become sons of Elohim.
John 1:11-12 John. 1:11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of Elohim, even to them that believe on his name:
- Note this carefully. The new testament assembly was a Jewish assembly.
- Yahshua was a Jew. The apostles were Jews. When Yahshua sent out the apostles to preach, He sent them to the people of Israel and told them not to go to the gentiles.
Matt.10:5-6 Matt. 10:5 These twelve Yahshua sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: 10:6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
