Matt. 22:37-40 Yahshua said unto him, Thou shalt love Yahweh thy Elohim with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 22:38 This is the first and great commandment. 22:39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 22:40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
- Yahweh has expressed His love for mankind through the gift of His Son
John 3:16-21 For Yahweh so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 3:17 For Yahweh sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of Yahweh. 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 3:21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in Elohim.
- Yahweh is love
1 John 4:7-8 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of Elohim; and every one that loveth is born of Elohim, and knoweth Elohim. 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not Elohim; for Yahweh is love.
1 John 4:16 And we have known and believed the love that Elohim hath to us. Yahweh is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in Elohim, and Elohim in him
- 1 Cor.13 (Love)
- As Covenant believers, it is our determination to fulfill these two great commandments by having the Law (Torah) of Yahweh written in our minds and hearts
Jer. 31:31-33 Behold, the days come, saith Yahweh, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith Yahweh: Jer.31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith Yahweh, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their Elohim, and they shall be my people.
Heb. 8:8-11 For finding fault with them, he saith Behold the days come saith Yahweh, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: 8:9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not saith Yahweh. 8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith Yahweh; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them an Elohim, and they shall be to me a people: 8:11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying Know Yahweh: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest
Heb. 10:16-18 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith Yahweh, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; 10:17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. 10:18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
- This can only be accomplished if we are circumcised in our hearts and minds and thus we walk by the rule of Yahweh’s Covenant Law
Rom. 2:28-29 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: 2:29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of Elohim.
Gal. 6:15-16 For in Messiah Yahshua neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. 6:16 And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of Yahweh.
- The true love of Yahweh will willingly keep His commandments as an expression of that love
1 John 5:1-3 Whosoever believeth that Yahshua is the Messiah is born of Elohim: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. 5:2 By this we know that we love the children of Elohim, when we love Elohim, and keep his commandments. 5:3 For this is the love of Elohim, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
- Those who know Yahshua keep His commandments and walk as He walked
1 John 2:3-5 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 2:5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of Elohim perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
- The Scriptures describe the true worshipers as those that keep the commandments of Yahweh and have the testimony and faith of Yahshua the Mashiach (Messiah)
Rev. 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of Yahweh, and have the testimony of Yahshua Messiah.
Rev. 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of Yahweh, and the faith of Yahshua.
Mal. 4:4-6 Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments. 4:5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of Yahweh: 4:6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.
James 1:21-25 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. 1:23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: 1:24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. 1:25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
- Keeping Yahweh’s Torah (word)
1 John 5:3 For this is the love of Elohim, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments
- By doing this from the heart, we prove our faith to Yahweh so that we might be reckoned as righteous in Yahweh’s sight
James 2:14-26 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? 2:15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, 2:16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? 2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. 2:18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. 2:19 Thou believest that there is one Elohim; thou doest well: the devils also believe and tremble. 2:20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? 2:21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? 2:22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? 2:23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed Yahweh, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of Yahweh. 2:24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. 2:25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way? 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
- As people of faith, we are responsible to exercise our faith through the works that He designated and established (i.e. the keeping of Yahweh’s commandments). The good works of the Law which we bring forth are the proof of our faith.
- We understand that we are saved by grace and not by our works
Eph. 2:8-10 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of Yahweh: 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Messiah Yahshua unto good works, which Yahweh hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
- Salvation is a free gift from Yahweh which cannot be earned.
- It is given to those who make a covenant with Almighty Yahweh through the shed blood of our Savior
Rom 3:21-26 But now the righteousness of Elohim without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; 3:22 Even the righteousness of Elohim which is by faith of Yahshua Messiah unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of Elohim; 3:24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Messiah Yahshua: 3:25 Whom Elohim hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of Elohim; 3:26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Yahshua.
Matt. 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
- Yahweh’s Word (i.e. His Covenant Law) is the Truth
John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
- The Truth sanctifies Yahweh’s people and sets them free from the bondage of sin
John :31-36 Then said Yahshua to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
John 8:32-36 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. 8:33 They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free? 8:34 Yahshua answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. 8:35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever. 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed
- Sin and its destructive ways
Rom. 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of Elohim is eternal life through Yahshua Messiah our Master.
- Sin is the transgression (i.e. breaking) of the Law (Torah)
1 John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
- Sin can only be recognized through knowledge of Yahweh’s Law
Rom. 7:7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
- Without that knowledge it is impossible to know what sin is.
- Those who worship Yahweh must do so in spirit and in truth
John 4:23=24 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. 4:24 Yahweh is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth
- Holy Spirit in our lives and within the body of believers by obeying the truth of Yahweh’s Covenant Law (Torah)
Acts 5:32 And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Spirit, whom Elohim hath given to them that obey him.
- We seek to be a spiritual people in Yahweh’s sight by being born anew through water (water baptism into the name of Yahshua) and through the spirit (Yahweh’s Ruach Ha Qodesh) and thereby gain entrance into the Kingdom of Yahweh.
- This is a part of the conversion process which begins when a person recognizes the need to repent and to make changes from within, and then undergoes baptism.
- That process will culminate in a physical transformation into a spirit being upon Yahshua’s return
John 3:3-7 Yahshua answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of Yahweh. 3:4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? 3:5 Yahshua answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of Yahweh. 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
1 Cor. 15:35-54 But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come? 15:36 Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die: 15:37 And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain: 15:38 But Elohim giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body. 15:39 All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds. 15:40 There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. 15:41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory. 15:42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: 15:43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: 15:44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. 15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. 15:46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. 15:47 The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Master from heaven. 15:48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. 15:49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of Yahweh; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. 15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 15:54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
