Covenant of Shalom

2016-09-17

Isa 54:9-10 0 For this is as the waters of Noach to Me; for as I have sworn that the waters of Noach shall no morego over the earth, so have I sworn that I will not be angry with you, nor rebuke you. 10 For the mountains may depart, and the hills be removed; but My lovingkindness shall not departfrom you, neither shall My covenant of shalom be removed,” says YHWH that has mercy on you.

  • As we examined in the Torah portion, the word “shalom” means nothing is missing, nothing is broken, and everything is in harmony. It means that one is whole and complete in every sense of the word. Itmeans that one is full and prosperous. This is why this word came to be used as a greeting for bothwhen a person meets another person and when parting from another. In this way one is bestowing allthe fullness of YHWH’s blessings upon another’s life. Now let us prayerfully consider what Yahshua taught us concerning this word.YHWH has offered a covenant of shalom to us who would hear His call and come out of Babylon. Forthose who refuse to come out of Babylon, this covenant of shalom is out of reach. However, for thosewho are willing to remove themselves from Babylon and to stop participating in her sins, then this isexactly what YHWH will bestow upon each one of us as individuals first; then He will do this for us as apeople, a nation, as He molds us into Israel.

Isa.55:3 3Incline your ear, and come to Me; hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlastingcovenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

  • Each one of us desires to live in an everlasting covenant with YHWH our Elohim. But in order for this tobecome a reality, YHWH expects us to listen to and obey His Voice. It is by doing this, our obedience, that we come to life. Not doing this is sure death.ABBA YHWH, open our eyes that we may see; open our ears that we may hear; give us theunderstanding and wisdom that we need to walk in complete and perfect obedience to You; in the name of Yahshua our Mashiach. Amein
